I can't remember a time when music was not apart of my life. My father began teaching me piano as a toddler. The instruments changed throughout my childhood and came to include the organ, guitar, and the bass. From him I learned not just to play an instrument but to love and appreciate music.

During my adolescence I played in numerous bands and for the past 15+ years I began teaching music professionally. I worked at Wise Music in Salinas CA for 10+ years, giving individual music lessons. In 2011 my wife and I moved to Nicaragua and later to El Salvador. We enjoyed learning Spanish, embracing the culture and volunteering in the community. I began teaching guitar online once we moved abroad.  However, in 2019 with the news that we were expecting our first child, we moved back to California and have now settled in the Sacramento area.  Our move back has not diminished our love for language and culture, we are now enjoying learning Tagalog as a third language.

I am currently teaching privately and through Horizon, Ocean Grove, and Yosemite Valley Charter Schools to name a few.  Though I primarily consider myself a Bass and Guitar instructor, per request by students I have expanded my horizons and now offer piano, banjo, and ukulele lessons.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
